About Christa Forrest
Christa Forrest is a Connecticut artist specializing in pastel, oil, acrylic, and mixed
media art. After spending 20 years in a finance career, she decided to follow her true passion and become a full-time artist.
Her work is a mixture of
realism, exploration, experimentation, and pure fun. Besides creating art, Christa also shares
her passion by teaching others how to be creative and how to explore
the world's landscape before bringing it to the canvas.
She recently began creating a detailed and expressive Goddess series where she incorporates the Divine Feminine, illustrating the strength many
women struggle with when trying to connect it in their daily lives.
“We remember to nourish our bodies with food and water but forget to
nourish our souls,” Christa says. “We find our inner selves starving and yearning for something more.”
About Carla King
Carla King is an adventure travel journalist and author whose journeys are published widely online and in print. Carla has written extensively about her experiences traveling the world solo, often on a motorcycle or bicycle. Her American Borders memoir is the story of her breakdowns in small towns all around the USA on a cranky Russian sidecar motorcycle while she was testing it for a company who wanted to sell it as a specialty bike. She followed up with similar journeys on cranky, indigenous motorcycles in both India and China.
Carla splits her time between the San Francisco Bay Area, Dana Point on the coast of Southern California, and her palapa in Baja, Mexico.
