Journal Prompts

After you have finished creating or embellishing your new Magical Mindfulness journal, write your intention on the first page. Here are some things to think about as you decide what your intention is:

  • What are you hoping to get out of our online retreat? 

  • What are you excited about learning? 

  • How are you feeling now and how would you like to feel after the retreat is over?

About Jools Sinclair

Jools Sinclair has been an educator for more than 20 years, teaching elementary school as well as community college writing and continuing teacher education courses. A while back she took some time off to pursue her own writing career, becoming a national bestselling author before developing See the Beauty, a mindful gratitude program that helps people celebrate their magnificent lives. She holds a bachelor's degree from UCLA and a masters in education from Pacific University. In her spare time she swims, grows tomatoes, cooks, travels, and is a docent at the Tucson Museum of Art. 

About Dr. Saamdu Chetri


Saamdu Chetri was born in a cowshed in rural Bhutan and has a PhD in commerce. After working for 25 years in the private sector, he joined the first democratically elected government of Bhutan, where he became a founding member of the country's Gross National Happiness Center and its first executive director.


Since then, he has been teaching, consulting, and speaking all over the world on mindfulness, ecology, and happiness. He has spoken at the House of Commons in the British Parliament, to the senators of the Philippines, and in more than a dozen universities and colleges around the world. Since 2018, Dr. Chetri has been working at the Rekhi Centre of Excellence for the Science of Happiness.


His interviews and articles can be found on the BBC, ABC, ABS-CBN, CNN, various podcasts, magazines, blogs, and other TV shows. He has written two books and has been a contributing author to several more. Dr. Chetri is a strong advocate of the organic movement and the environment. 

Most of all, Saamdu Chetri is a pilgrim of love and compassion.
